NEW LUPIN III TV SERIES COMING IN APRIL!!!

TOHO Cinemas’ announcement for a 40th anniversary Lupin III anime event lists a promotional video for a “new television series premiering in April.” According to the announcement, TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills theater will also screen the new “Lupin Ikka Seizoroi” (Lupin Family Lineup) short from this month’s Lupin III Master File Blu-ray Disc/DVD release, as well as the top-ranked episode from each of the first three Lupin III television series. Lupin III manga creator Monkey Punch and “surprise guests” are scheduled to attend the March 18 event.
A NTV television ad announced last April that a “new television series of Lupin III” would air last fall. However, NTV then told ANN that the new Lupin III TV project would be a special, Lupin III: Chi no Kokuin Eien no Mermaid, which would eventually air last December. Then, the official website for the 40th anniversary announced on January 28 that a “new project is launching this spring,” but gave no further details.
